Arc Exams

We were introduced to arc exams to rebuild their existing examinations website to fit the new brand, encompass new pages and build a fully bespoke exam booking form. The form needed to integrate with Xero & Stripe for automated invoicing and also be easily editable by the arc team.

We begun by designing a flat mockup concept of how the site should look and function, we wanted to include some graphical elements that fit the brand, lots of arc shapes (to fit the brand). There were over 30 pages on the site all with different functions, each one needed to be bespoke designed.

The main goal of the site is for potential customers to book their exams online. We made sure there were booking buttons throughout the site to enable the user to get to the form easily.

We then built the site in WordPress from the mockups, we built custom fields in the backend of the website allowing the arc team to edit content, images and date tables at their convenience.

A large part of the project was the booking form. arc had quite specific requirements for the form. It needed to be editable when exam dates change, show a different fee to the user depending on the current date, pull live data from a constantly evolving fees list, raise an invoice in Xero when a customer books whilst adding each exam to the correct line in the Xero chart of accounts. We achieved all of this for arc whilst allowing for future features.

The finished site is a modern, easy to use website displaying all required information in an easy to find way, whilst allowing the arc team to edit content and keep the site up to date. The bespoke booking form allows users to book exams and make payment quickly and efficiently whilst saving backend admin for the arc team.
